Majid Bekkas - In his homeland Morocco is the oud and guembri virtuoso, guitar professor and singer already a star. Through his collaboration with Archie Shepp, Louis Sclavis, Flavio Boltro or Klaus Doldinger he found his way to the european jazz scene.

Ali Keita was born in Abidjan/ Cote d’Ivoire. He raised in a Malinke’ family. Their profession is called since generations “Griots” (traditional singer and musician).
Ali was very young since he has made his own Balaphones and also worked as a jazz musician. He makes the Balaphone fit into different musical styles, so he was able to work with international musucians in Africa, Europe and the USA.

Michael Heupel - combines the classical Flute tradition with Jazz and experimental music. He raised and lives in Bonn, studied at the “Musikhochschule in Cologne.
He has played in various groups of Jazz and imprvisational music and his Solo program were performed at festivals in Toronto, Montreal and Khartoum (Sudan).
Since more than twenty years he is working together with Uwe Kropinski.

Uwe Kropinski - started as a Rock musician, sang Beatles songs, studied classical and Jazz guitar and played in groups of improvised music.
He developed a very unique style of playing.
The famous german music critic Bert Noglik said:
“Kropinski transfered the guitar into another, a new, his own instrument.”
